Senior Operations Manager – Financial Services

Established in 2011, my client is a highly successful, independent financial services firm, with offices based worldwide in London, Australia and New York. Specialising in Trade and Supply Chain Finance, the firm provides innovative and alternative working capital finance solutions for corporations globally.

With extensive growth plans and increased workloads, my client is now looking to expand their Operations department and they currently have a number of exciting opportunities available. The Senior Operation Manager will direct, motivate and lead Managers/Team Leaders ensuring they are aligned to the company business goals and behaviours whilst creating a great place to work environment.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Operations Manager – Financial Services:

  • Motivates and leads the teams to ensure the Key Performance Indicators are met
  • Develop and coaches Team Leaders to improve leadership skills and build an effective leadership team
  • Ensure that processes are managed in a controlled environment, reducing error rates
  • Develop relationships across the business, understanding what internal customers need from the Operations team and working towards delivering a high level of service
  • Actively manage upwards to ensure the Head of Operations is aware of ongoing issues, risks and opportunities
  • Step up to cover for the Head of Operations as and when required

Essential Requirements are:

You will ideally already be a Senior Operation Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity or have sufficient experience that this is the next step in your career.


  • You must have several years of leadership and people management experience in the Financial Service sector
  • Strong, self-driven leader with demonstrated ability to proactively drive, manage and grow and operations team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced time driven environment
  • Good collaboration, influence and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise requests and workload
  • Strong people management skills
  • Experience of driving improvement


  • You must be degree educated (or equivalent), ideally in a relevant discipline such as Business Studies, Economics, Accounting & Finance, etc.
  • Have experience of working in Back Office Corporate/Investment banking.
  • Understanding of the end to end trade life cycle
