Quality and Control Manager

My client is a highly successful, independent financial services firm, with offices based worldwide in London, Australia and New York. Specialising in Trade and Supply Chain Finance, the firm provides innovative and alternative working capital finance solutions for corporations globally.

Due to growth, this successful Financial Services company are currently recruiting for a Quality and Control Manager. The ideal candidate will be proficient in supporting the implementation of a quality and control framework. Have experience in developing process reviews and quality checks, undertaking root cause analysis and developing solutions.  Being able to communicate across all levels and give direction to the Operations teams.  Previous experience of working within a similar role is essential.

Key responsibilities for the Quality and Control Manager:

  • Support the development and implementation of a 1st line of defence operational risk framework.
  • Develop and undertake regular testing of processes to ensure that appropriate controls are in place.
  • Where gaps in process controls are identified work with the relevant teams to ensure the appropriate control are embedded.
  • Actively manage upwards to ensure the Head of Operations is aware of ongoing issues, risks and opportunities
  • Complete root cause analysis for identified risks and develop solutions to enhance control procedures
  • Support the wider Operations team as directed by line management

Essential Requirements are:

  • Proven experience of working within a Quality and Control environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the Back office and the Risk teams
  • Experience of developing a Quality and Control framework
  • Strong, self-driven leader with demonstrated ability to proactively drive, manage and develop people.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced time driven environment
  • Good collaboration, influence and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise requests and workload
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Experience of driving improvement.
  • Have experience of working in Back Office Corporate/Investment banking.
  • Understanding of the end to end trade life cycle
