Located in a prestigious city centre location, my client is a highly successful FTSE 250 company who provide exceptional investment management and financial planning services to high net worth clients. Following continued success, this market leading company are looking for an Administration Team Manager to join their busy operational department on a permanent basis.

Reporting into Senior Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the team, providing training and support to team members and improving processes throughout the department.

This is a varied and interesting role that requires a candidate with proven managerial experience from a regulated environment e.g. financial services, legal, pharmaceutical etc. You must be confident in handling employees queries and challenging current processes in order to improve the overall productivity of the team.

Key responsibilities for the Assistant Manager:

  • Reporting into the Department Manager and providing ongoing support to senior management
  • Leading the team, providing support and training on a regular basis
  • Completing staff appraisals
  • Assessing team processes and highlighting areas for improvement
  • Escalate all transfers that exceed the department service standard and produce detailed reports for all Branches, Senior Management & External Parties (IFA’s) confirming actions taken and expected resolution.
  • Collate management information, identify areas of risk and suggest ways to limit exposure to the business and through improvements monitor progress and success.
  • Document procedures across the department and other areas which are impacted by the Transfers Team, in a format that is easily interpreted by others

Essential Requirements are:

  • You ­must have proven experience working at a managerial level from a regulated industry e.g. financial services, legal etc.
  • Proven experience of successfully managing, leading and developing a team
  • Confident and professional communication skills
  • Proven leadership, organisational and planning skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Proven problem solving skills with the ability to prioritise work loads
