A leading Wealth Management organisation based in Liverpool city centre is looking for an experienced and capable Purchase Ledger Manager to join their team on initially a 6 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be joining the organisation at an exciting time and will have a major influence on decisions within the Accounts Payable function.

The ideal candidate will be a strong people manager, responsible for a team of 6 ensuring all invoice processing and supplier payments are in line with agreed timescales and procedures. You would be expected to get involved in ad hoc projects when required. This is an excellent foot in the door opportunity, as the organisation have highlighted the possibility for a long term position following the success of the contract.

The Purchase Ledger Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing and motivating a team of 6 AP clerks
  • Handling high value supplier agreements
  • Producing weekly reports on team performance for Senior Management
  • Design, maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators
  • Producing and implementing new payment practices
  • Ledger reviews

Ideally you will have/be:

  • Proven experience of leading a high volume invoice processing team
  • Experience of system implementation is desirable
  • Previous experience of working with a large ERP system (SAP, SUN, Oracle)
  • Available at short notice and commitment to a 6 month contract
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
