Finance Manager – Expanding City Centre based SME

Following a period of continued growth, a well-established service sector company is looking for a Finance Manager to take responsibility for a rapidly expanding branch of their business. The successful candidate will be an ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or Qualified by experience Accountant with existing experience in producing management accounts with ownership of all monthly reporting, taking full ownership of all statutory requirements, managing annual budgeting & forecasting processes and supporting the Board in strategic decision making. Additionally the candidate must possess advanced Excel skills and a meticulous attention to detail.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Taking responsibility for producing management accounts
  • Managing the annual budgets and forecasts
  • Cash flow management, monitoring and reporting
  • Being solely responsible for all statutory requirements
  • Assisting external Accountants with tax calculations
  • VAT management and reporting
  • Working with the Board to help streamline and continually improve finance functions
  • Liaising with and preparing with auditors
  • Working with Directors to ensure budgets for staffing and recruitment are maintained
  • Daily/ weekly reporting of key financial information to senior management
  • Producing month end reports and packs for the Board
  • Preparing payroll for group entities
  • Overseeing supplier reconciliations and purchase ledger management

Ideally you will have/be:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified / Qualified by experience Accountant
  • Existing experience operating in all-round accounting role
  • Strong communication skills, experience within limited companies at management level
  • Be process driven with a strong understanding of financial systems
