Payroll Administrator - Manchester

A well-established firm of chartered accountants based in Manchester are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their busy department on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own portfolio of client payrolls, calculating statutory deductions, submitting information to HMRC as well as building and maintaining client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll candidate who is looking to take the next step in their career, whilst gaining exposure to a large variety of clients and keeping up to date with any payroll legislation.

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Day to day administration of multiple client payrolls ranging for 300
  • Processing manual payroll calculations
  • Operating RTI procedures and statutory requirements
  • Carrying out payroll reconciliations and analysis
  • Administering and processing end of year return forms – RTI declarations, P60
  • Using existing knowledge of pension scheme when providing administration for various payrolls 

Essential Requirements are:

  • Experience working in a payroll bureau  
  • Experience using payroll software
  • Strong up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation, including RTI/Auto enrolment
  • Excellent IT Skills & Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team
