A small, professional and friendly firm of chartered accountants based in Liverpool City Centre has an opening for an experienced practice Bookkeeper / Payroll Assistant to join their busy team.

You will be responsible for bookkeeping for a diverse client base, using a variety of accounting systems such as Sage, Quickbooks, Xero and Sage One.

Experience of bookkeeping and payroll are essential, and ideally you will have experience/knowledge of accounts preparation and tax (although this is not essential).

The firm is keen to find the right candidate, and the role can be moulded to suit your skills and experience. Both full time and part time candidates will be considered.

The Bookkeeper / Payroll Assistant will be responsible for:

·Care of clients’ accounting/taxation records


·Correspondence with clients and agencies such as the HMRC

·Preparation of VAT returns

·Running the payroll bureau for c. 100 clients

Depending on your experience, the role may also include:

·Preparation of accounts from incomplete records

·Preparation of business tax computations

·Preparation of self-assessment tax returns

·General office administration including booking in, going to the bank and other sundry duties
