A national Top 10 practice firm are looking to appoint an Accounts Senior Associate to their thriving and dynamic team based in Liverpool city centre. As an Accounts Senior Associate you will be joining a highly prestigious organisation which strives to provide exceptional services to growing businesses.

Working within one of the firm’s central hubs, the Accounts department will work internally to provide support to client facing members of the firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing the work completed by members of the team, along with allocating work to staff members. You will be required to communicate with your team and monitor the productivity and accuracy of their output.

The successful candidate will be ACA / ACCA qualified. The Accounts Senior Associate will be responsible for:

  • Support national teams with review and QA of single company and consolidated statutory accounts prepared under FRS 102, FRS 102 section 1a and FRS 101
  • Allocate work to team members
  •  Monitor throughput, productivity and accuracy of team members’ output
  • Act as a counselling manager for junior team members, setting and reviewing goals
  • Encourage a continuous improvement ethic in junior team members
  • Work extensively with the CaseWare accounting package
  • Deliver QA outputs to agreed timescale, quality and volume
  • Deal with internal queries with colleagues and teams across the firm
  • Provide support to other colleague teams in the hub dependent upon seasonality of core work

Essential Requirements are:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified
  • Practice experience is essential
  • Experience of training junior members of staff and reviewing their outputs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT skills - strong working knowledge of MS Excel and similar desktop applications. Willingness to learn new systems is essential
  • Good time management, organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Professional, friendly and self-motivated character
