Accounts Payable Supervisor – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

A prestigious distribution company based in the Warrington area is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join the team for a period of 12 months to cover maternity. The ideal candidate will have extensive supervisory experience, along with a proven track record of delivering projects to budget and on time. Reporting into the AP Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the daily workload is distributed and completed by the team, along with getting involved with numerous ad-hoc projects when required.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring invoices are correctly authorised before payments
  • Managing ledger payments, ensuring suppliers are paid according to the company’s credit terms
  • Check supplier statement reconciliations are completed each month
  • Making individual urgent and one off payments
  • Ensuring all Accounts Payable staff are responding to all queries correctly
  • Getting involved in numerous projects including; system testing, system implementation and process improvement

Essential Requirements are:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Accounts Payable function with a minimum of three years’ experience supervising a team
  • Previous experience of working within a fast-paced accounts environment
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Available at short notice
